My Story: A Journey to Holistic Healing for Teens and Families

My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t a straight line. After years in social work, witnessing growing rates of anxiety, ADHD, and trauma in teens and families, I knew there had to be more than traditional talk therapy. My heart ached for a way to truly empower young adults and their loved ones to build resilience and cultivate lasting well-being.

This ignited a personal and professional odyssey. I sought out diverse wisdom, traveling:

  • Kripalu Yoga Center: To delve into the ancient practice of yoga and harness its potential for inner peace and self-awareness.
  • Mindful Schools in New York City: To deepen my understanding of mindfulness and its transformative power for young minds.
  • California to study HeartMath: To explore the science behind emotional regulation and its impact on stress management.
  • The Ashram in Millis, MA: To unlock the power of Kundalini Yoga and its energetic pathways to unlock personal potential.
  • Brown University Center for Mindfulness: To acquire the skills to share the life-changing 8-week stress reduction course in my school district.

Today, I weave these ancient and evidence-based practices into my work:

  • Group sessions and workshops for adults and teens: Creating safe spaces for individuals to connect, learn, and grow together.
  • Private therapy sessions: Tailoring holistic approaches to individual needs and preferences.
  • Professional development series: Empowering educators and other professionals to support the well-being of young people.

It’s a privilege to witness the transformations that unfold when individuals embrace these powerful tools. My story is still unfolding, and I remain passionately committed to sharing these gifts with others, one mindful breath, one compassionate gesture, one empowered step at a time.

More Than Just Talk Therapy:
I offer a holistic approach, incorporating mindfulness practices, yoga, and other self-care techniques to build lasting resilience and inner peace.
